When it pours Delhi (NCR) Sucks

When it pours in Delhi it rains mayhem, problems, traffic jams etc....

After the movie Delhi 6, I think it’s time to move on and make its next part movie "Delhi (NCR) Sucks".

Delhi 6 had love story of a man.... and this one is tragic story of millions of people....
People who missed their trains, buses, flights, appointments, meetings and lot many other things.

People who face endless traffic jams, endless waitings and all this on the same day. The day which everyone irrespective a being rich or poor was waiting.... It was a day of good rain.
The day started with sunny morning and ended up with cool and humid evening. In between there was just 1-2 hr of downpour and it left the city stand still.....

Reason, well all the major Roads be it, ITO, Nizamuddin Bridge, Minto Road, Mathura Road, Dhaula Kuan, Lajpat Nagar, Dwarka, Moolchand or even Connaught Place all were either waterlogged or have had huge traffic jam. And at some places it’s better to walk than to travel in car to reach your destination. It took 2-3 hrs in covering the path that usually took 20-30 mins.

So our story would start simultaneously at many places be it a person (say P1) started with a good margin of 4 hrs from IP Extension to catch a flight, or another one (say P2) who started from Gurgaon to go to his home in Naraina on Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, or some other chap (P3) from Gurgaon who decided to go to his home and took another 4 hour margin to reach railway station, the trip that usually takes about an hour and a half in bus and similarly many other people who decided to go from one part of city to another. The end story is more or less same for all the cases like even after 3.5 hr P1 was still in his own car when was only half way down. While P2 was struck into traffic at many places starting from his office in Gurgaon to his home in Naraina like driving for 5-10 mins and then crawling in traffic for half an hour or so and finally manage reach home after about 3-4 hrs. And the poor chap P3, just like P1 he was just half way through after three hour and for last 5-7 kms he didn’t even got an auto what drop him to station. There were similar many stories of thousands of people around the city.

And it is not just once a while case today, rather it quite frequently just some rainfall or some festive season city started to crawl and people starting cursing authorities and authorities started to play the blame game but no one does anything to avoid this thing to happen again….
I really wonder if this happens on the first day of upcoming commonwealth game next year in Delhi. I would really wish that it downpours on that day and want to see what happened then to these authorities, although it will be somewhat humiliating but I guess this is the only treatment that authorities required.
